Andrew Kosiski Wins The Spring Meltdown at I-80 Speedway
Andrew Kosiski scored the biggest win of his career Saturday night as he led all 35 laps in route to a $4,000 payday at the I-80 Speedway . Kosiski started on the pole and never was challenged in the opening Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing (SLMR) Series race of the 2021 season. (Todd Boyd photo)
His third place finish in the Friday night qualifying feature along with the redraw placed the All Makes Collision Center , Certified Transmission , Nebraska Bullnose, 4Seams Academy , Select Auto Sales Omaha , Kosiski Auto Parts, Omni Inventive Care , Super Clean , We'll Smoke U BBQ , Mars Race Cars with a Pro Power Racing Engines No. 53 on the inside of the front row for the main event. “I got lucky with the draw, but I still think we had a really fast race car” said Andrew in victory lane.
“I knew we were a little off Friday night and I thought I knew what it needed, and it really came to life there.”
With the win Andrew becomes the Malvern Bank Series points leader and will get to carry the Midwest Sheet Metal- Kaser Blasting & Coatings pink spoiler into the next series race April 17th at the Hamilton County Speedway.
