Kosiski Returns To NASCAR Action, Shelby County On Saturday
Andrew Kosiski and Team 53 will be close to home this weekend as two Super Late Model races make up an action pack weekend close to the Omaha metro.
Friday night, the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series returns to the I-80 Speedway for the second time this season. Andrew currently sits 8th in the standings after finishing 8th in the opening night feature. Races begin at 7:15pm
Saturday night the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing (SLMR) Series hits the dirt at the Shelby County Speedway Harlan, Iowa for race number eight of the 2021 campaign. Starting off the season with a win at I-80 Speedway, AK has tallied four top five finishes and currently sits fourth in the points standings 66 markers behind leader Tad Pospisil.
LAST WEEKEND OUT: Andrew took his All Makes Collision Center, Certified Transmission, Nebraska Bullnose, 4Seams Academy No. 53 to the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin. After struggling in qualifying and the heat race, Kosiski finally got the car tuned for the last chance qualifier where he raced into a transfer spot and was the fastest car on track. Unfortunately with a few laps remaining he experienced a catastrophic engine failure ending his weekend.
